What a class looks like

08:30-16:45: Central pier 6 pick up/drop off 10:00-15:30: lower cheung sha pick up/drop off Brief Daily Schedule: 10:00-10:30: Get changed and camp rules; body surf/swim 10:30-12:00: Surf safety & surfing 12:00-13:00: Lunch & free time, rehydration & sunscreen time 13:00-13:10: Beach games 13:10-14:45: Surfing 14:45-15:30: Tidy up and get changed Coaches divide groups by age and experience, providing individual feedback and adjusting the lesson plan based on wave conditions.

Right for your child?

Kids aged 5–14 who want to learn or improve surfing. Suitable for complete beginners with no experience as well as improver/advanced surfers. Groups are divided by age and ability.

Curriculum & Progression

Semi-structured (flexible framework)

ISA-qualified coaches teach surfing fundamentals and advanced techniques. Beginners learn to stand up, balance, and ride waves to shore, plus ocean knowledge and posture correction. Improvers work on catching waves, paddling techniques, wave reading, positioning, trimming, and jumping tricks. Lessons are adjusted daily based on wave conditions and group progress.

Learning Outcomes

Surfing skills from beginner to improver level, ocean knowledge and wave understanding, water safety awareness, independence and confidence, physical fitness and balance, teamwork and social skills through group activities.

About

A non-overnight summer surf camp for kids aged 5–14 at Lower Cheung Sha Beach, Lantau. Children learn to surf and improve their skills in a fun, safe environment led by ISA-qualified coaches. 3-day Camp A. 1-3/5 (Fri-Sun) B. 25-27/5 (Mon-Wed) C. 18-20/6 (Thur-Sat) D. 24-26/6 (Wed-Fri) E. 29-30/6,2/7 (Mon-Tue, Thur) F. 6-8/7(Mon-Wed) G. 13-15/7(Mon-Wed) H. 20-22/7(Mon-Wed) I. 27-29/7 (Mon-Wed) J. 3-5/8 (Mon-Wed) K. 10-12/8(Mon-Wed) L. 17-19/8 (Mon-Wed) M. 24-26/8 (Mon-Wed) Activities include surfing, surf safety, body-surfing, body-boarding, beach games, and surf-related water games. Bad-weather alternatives include tie-dye workshops, screen printing, slack-lining, and skimboarding.

Before your first class

Arrive at Central Pier 6 by 8:10–8:25 for pick-up, or meet directly at Lower Cheung Sha Beach by 10:00. Kids will use their own Octopus card for daily transport if taking the bus from Central.

What to bring

Sunscreen (liquid, not spray), swimming suit, long sleeve rashguard & shorts, towel, water bottle, flip flops, hat, closed-toed water shoes, dry bag, mosquito repellent, dry clothes
