My name is Ulli. I grew up in Germany. Whilst I was studying, I developed lower back pain so I bought myself a second hand kneel chair, It helped my back a lot, but what I loved the most was that you can rock on it! I just couldn't sit still while studying and the fact that I was able to move (rock) made an enormous difference to me. ​ My father was a master carpenter and I followed in his footsteps. However, after working for several years and finishing my masters and wood engineering degree in Germany, I decided to do something totally different. ​ I went to Hong Kong to work with people in trouble: living with men having drug addiction problems and looked after teenagers who had dropped out of school. I have done this for the last 20 years. We had weekly woodwork workshops with the teenagers and one day I remembered my rocking kneel chair. We designed one and built 10 of them as a project. ​ In Hong Kong, kids are forced to sit still for long hours at school. This can be torture, especially for boys who love to move around. I have 3 kids, so I built a child size rocking chair for them. They love it! ​ Working with wood was always an important part of my life, and I am enjoying spending more time doing this again. My dream is to offer an environment where kids with their parents can spend time together, creating things out of wood and being proud of what we achieved with our hands. I look forward to meeting many of you at my workshop.

Hong Kong Surfing Lesson has operated since 2015. We teach in Lower Cheung Sha Beach, Lantau and Big Wave Bay, Shek O. Tio (From Hong Kong) and Buddy (From Canada), the head coaches are ISA (International Surfing Association) Qualified Surf and Flat Water SUP; SUP Surf Coaches. We have received ILS aquatic rescue and lifeguard training and qualification in Hainan Island, Taiwan, and New Zealand. We also hold Hong Kong St. John’s First Aid Certificate. We have been teaching Surfing, SUP, SUP Surf for more than 10 years. Our passion is Surfing, SUP and many other outdoor activities. We feel fortunate to have been on surf trips to different places- New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Vietnam, Denmark, US, China, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, etc, embracing the local cultures through surfing. Most importantly, we are familiar with various surfing spots in Hong Kong. We also have more than ten plus years of outdoor education and outdoor guiding experience. The clients include locals, tourists, international and local schools, and corporate groups. Activities include kayaking, hiking, surfing, Stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, camping, horse riding, etc. We also have a team of professional & well-trained coaches, including male and female coaches; Local & foreign instructors; delivering great surfing and surf camp experiences to participants. Our team has taught thousands of kids and adults surfing every year. We are rich in ocean knowledges and very familiar with our local spots. Safety is always the priority. Tio was HKSURFSUP Hong Kong Team athlete, participating in various of races in Hong Kong, China, Denmark; always having good results.

Our Tekkerz® football program consists of a multi-level curriculum for U3 to U15 boys and girls intrinsically designed to develop the technical skills of individual players and overall game play using a ‘maximum touch’ approach by: - mastering multiple ball skills using both feet - maximising touches through dynamic passing drills - enhancing ball control and body positioning - improving balance and agility - speeding-up the decision-making process through 1v1’s and small-sided games Based around hundreds of skills and ball mastery exercises, players practice dynamic high-intensity drills that encourage a lot of touches of the ball in short periods of time. Compared with around 200-250 touches per session with other programs, Tekkerz® players touch the ball over 1,000 times. The program is structured for all levels. We run various age groups and separate players by level into smaller groups so we have an effective and manageable Coach-to-Player ratio. Building confidence with the ball, players progress to learn more about game play, tactics, decision-making on the pitch and being a part of a team, and this is reinforced with the many opportunities for representing Tekkerz in teams from U6 upwards, either in official leagues, our newly formed Tekkerz ‘Community League’ or friendlies. The Tekkerz® curriculum is based on the English FA’s 4 corner philosophy of every session consisting of Technical, Psychological, Physical and Social skills.

Bespecial Wood Carving & Woodcraft was established in 2013. Vivian Law and Justin Chan, two wood carving sculptors promote a living-with-less lifestyle and stay harmonious with nature in Hong Kong. They acquired their carving skills in different places, such as the UK, Taiwan and Dongyang, Zhejiang Province, which exposed them to both modern and traditional carving. They are now based in its Kwun Tong studio, focusing on art creation, community workshops, and product design, integrating wood carving into this prosperous city. Our creative inspiration stems from a deep observation and reverence for the symbiotic relationships found in nature. Through wood carving, we transform the invisible connections between species into tangible, three-dimensional narratives. At the same time, we hold a deep affection for the cultures and stories of Hong Kong and beyond, translating them into an artistic language that embodies ecological harmony and a deep connection to the land.
